He was just looking for a way to continue the grift (over $200 million taken in - pun used intentionally- since the election) and to continue the rallies, which are his oxygen.

I don't think many places besides his own properties are going to want to host one of his rallies in the future, just from a public safety standpoint. Also a lot of his strongest supporters are now wanted criminals, so if they show up to a rally, they could get arrested.
