It seems like the study was focused on algorithmic changes that won't obviously upset people... that's obviously a big limitation.

I think we can mitigate the problems with moderation including HUMAN moderators that will cut into meta's massive profit margin.... But there is no way we can have any moderation without upsetting some people. The people who benefit from disinformation will of course be mad. People who get in trouble for horrible content will be mad, etc. I feel like anything we do will be wrong and will be seen as draconian or not doing enough.

I think the best "fix" is also the hardest one, better education around propaganda and misinformation.

I think my social media time has plateaued a while ago personally. Because it maxed out a while ago! Can't afford to spend more time on it versus other things I need to do or want to do.

I think I also use it the way I think is right... I mostly just use it to talk to friends and some real news organizations and entertainers. I don't get hung up on comparisons between my life and others which is I think a major reason it makes some depressed.
