I'm not ashamed of my spaghetti factories. I'm not.

But getting 'motors' to my 'turbo motor' building required a belt to be stretched over/under/around my -entire- main base. They're on opposite sides with a hell of a lot of dense stuff sprawled out between them.

So I set up a truck route and assigned one lonely little Factory Cart to carry one stack of motors at a time. Those things are impossible to control on sandy dunes. I ended up building a road for the poor little guy. For all that work, I could have probably just rebuilt my motor production line instead. But every time I see that little cart zip by it makes me giggle. "GO BOY! GO!"

I also built a very tidy petroleum processing plant, 10 refineries making plastic, 10 making rubber, 5 making petro-coke (and sinking it) and 2 making fuel for 3 generators that power almost the whole thing on its own power grid to make sure the fuel gets used up. (I left just enough on the main power grid so that if something causes it to jam, it can re-start itself without my intervention). Crude oil comes in by train from a pair of pure nodes way off to the west. :)

I'm pretty pleased with it =)

Nothing beats a factory producing nuclear waste like crazy...
The permanent 'no undo!' nature of uranium/toxic waste in Satisfactory fills me with dread unlike I feel in most games!

I've invested a lot of time in my desert map game, slowly hunting down all the hard drives/alt recipes, tapping all the geothermal vents (2 left!). Cranking out Awesome Sink coupons so I can buy all the statues. I -don't- want to eff it up by turning part of the map into a can't-return-to-it superfund site!

So I was extra careful adding a 2 reactor system. I don't need it now, but I may after I run out of geothermal vents to tap. Just a short test run has already made the remote island I'm using as a waste dump into a place I can't return to! So for now, the uranium miner sits there unplugged, but ready to go for if/when I need it.

I'm in the middle of planning a turbo-fuel processing plant. I could follow someone else's build, but I really want to design it myself.... I haven't gotten this complicated with spreadsheet formulas in a long while! ;)

So, I committed and started building last night. Been up all night, and still haven't started the "Generator Farm" part of the Turbo Fuel power plant yet! (will likely make it 6x6x4floors and change). Here's kind of a simplified map of how many buildings and what they're consuming/producing:

It's kind of in/around coastal caves/overhangs, it looks pretty awesome. (to me at least). Too sleepy to snap/post an image. zZzzzZZzz... :D

That's the uranium node I'm currently using! My first time in that cave, I got so horribly lost and some of the geometry seems terrifyingly incomplete. Some areas have fog so dense you can barely see your feet!

No hazmat suit, and I had two giant green spiders leaping at me and spewing green gas! I barely made it out alive! (used up all the inhalers I brought with me!)

I built my reactors and uranium processing buildings right in front of those falls, as you see below. The train brings everything necessary for the buildings that handle the uranium (Sulfer, Concrete, Encased Industrial Beams and Electro-Magnetic Control Rods).

My conveyor belts seem to have caught one of the whale-striders. I wonder if he'll mutate if I keep him trapped in the radiation long enough. ;);)

I finally have all the Alternate Recipes, and extra bag slots. There's still 14-17 hard-drives out there to collect, (4 can't be unlocked because they require stuff not in the game yet).

Awesome coupons are dribbling in slower and slower. The two turbo motor manufacturers I had maxed out just aren't enough anymore.

So, Turbo Motor Factory Mk2! I'm hoping to get 15 per minute on top of the 6ish I already had, but this build needs like 1500 Quickwire a minute and so far I'm only producing a third of that! I'll be hunting down raw quartz deposits next as I'm sure that'll be my next bottleneck.

The layout isn't bad... I can expand off to either side if I ever build up enough to support it. A couple areas are 2 or 3 floors (if there's more than 7 of the same building in a group).

My FPS is definitely starting to drop when I'm in there. My jetpack accuracy has taken a huge hit. I may resort to adding stairs! Bleah! :D

Well finding Uranium was for me not so hard to do, I kind of stumbled upon it while exploring the surrounding areas and erected a beacon.

My problem is though that I am now mid in tier 3, ready to finally replace my bio mass burners with coal. I have found two pure coal nodes, and the one even had some water relatively nearby to it. The problem though is that this pond is too shallow, so the water extractor refuses to operate there.

So finding water is the problem right now which is really unsatisfying. I really wish they would include an automatic map with "fog of war" from the start up, and not that it is locked later behind some Quartz tech tree, because quite frankly this annoys at the moment just the heck right out of me.

I mean: we are an engineer for a company, which is able to send via interstellar space travel their employees on alien planets in order to mine the hell out of them, and they are unable to give their engineers such a basic item? Really? This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me.

There actually is a map in the game.. but it's mid tier... locked behind quartz chain line.. why your owers make us work for this? don't know. Maybe they trying to teach us something by holding back info from us. I'm still trying to figure out what project assembly is.. you sure we are not sending supplies for them to build a death star? why would they want to send a bunch of female engineers to isolated planets around the galaxy to acquire resources to send back? Didn't they mention that not all landings were successful?

or you can drop your save file here and have an idea where you are here.

Seems pretty clear that Ficsit Inc's priorities aren't with employee convenience. Or survival for that matter. You, the player, are the only survivor of 90 who were sent down to the planet!

Also, keep in mind, it's still 'early release', so who knows if they'll change the in-game map tech order in coming patches. =) Radar towers seem like they could be neat, they're just not fully fleshed out yet, so likely they stuck them into the late game for now.

The satisfactory-calculator.com production planner thinks you will need 273 refineries among a lot of other things for that. Yeesh! Maybe it miscalculated.

I made one whole turbo motor which I used for my mk3 uranium miner. My end game goal was much more modest than yours, just to get one nuclear plant running continuously which I've done. It is supplied by mines all exclusively for it and more or less in the neighborhood. I don't have any easy way to put any load on it. The highest I've seen my power usage go was around 1500 Mw. It's around 1000 Mw now. I have 4 geothermal generators good for 800 Mw (which take priority) and 18 coal generators. So the fuel rod usage on the nuclear plant is barely touched. On the other hand the stack has filled to its max of 50 in the plant. The conveyor belt feeding it is about 75 meters long. I wonder how far away the radiation will carry when that belt is filled and backed up with exposed fuel rods?

I blew out a train track and power line piece to see how much power was needed just to run the nuke plant including all the mines and buildings. It's around 300 Mw.

Some areas are likely inaccessible now. The nuclear waste goes by my copper plant. There is lots of poison gas around there and my nuclear waste runs by there too. I can't wear my hazmat suit and gas mask at the same time.

Here is a fun little doodad. If you look at the power graph at a power plant or power pole and click the usage graph six times the graph will glitch out then you get a message to stop messing with equipment.

So, one day I might start from the beginning again. In the meantime I'm played out. Thanks for clueing me into this game VVO. I've spent more time with it than any game in a long time and it's been a lot of fun.

My particular turbo motor build avoids plastic and rubber where it can, so I haven't had to step up my petroleum processing much at all.

I think I'm generating 16kMW now. And using a bit more than half, my turbo fuel power plant is so kick ass that I haven't finished building more than a third of the generators it can support, I may never need to depend on my nuclear reactors at this rate!

Unlike reality, if you remove the uranium and waste from an area, it becomes safe again immediately, which helps a lot. Given your particular setup, I'd love to see a screenshot of your saved game in the interactive map, just to see how widely spread your radioactive zones have gotten!

There's also some quirky click reaction in the MAM and somewhere else, I forget where.

I thought I was played out, but ended up needing to buy everything from the awesome shop. I'm getting pretty decent at quickly plunking down to dozen or more of a building and feeding them with a tidy manifold. The only nuisance is running conveyer belts across canyons and cliffs to bring in more resources, and limited inventory space making me bring a loaded train or vehicle along so I don't run out of building material!

I think my next project will be to set up a train station that loads freight cars with building materials. That way I can just call it to a temporary station near me instead of making extra resupply trips back to base myself each time I run out of concrete or iron plates.

Woot! Finally scrounged up the 1000 awesome coupons for The Golden Nut statue. Was much harder than I was expecting!

Now I only need to save up another ~700 to buy everything -else- in the awesome shop. :D Given that the coupons get exponentially more costly to acquire, I'm not sure I'll succeed. But I'm gonna try!

I imagine you've seen this page? AWESOME Sink

It takes 1,692 coupons to purchase every non-producible item in the AWESOME shop which would require 89,466,333,000 awesome points. This is equivalent to 192,378 turbo motors and would take about 21 hours at the current production limit of approximately 156 Turbo Motors / min.
