I use frozen burgers as a cheap source of meat, I don't want pre-flavored o_O

I mean meat that is prepared to be a burger.
Something like this:

Out of the package, fry, on a bun with optional lettuce, cheese, union rings, one or more sauces and if you want to ruin it some pickle. Ready to go.

If you want something to put in your taco or whatever, don't buy burger meat.
There are a lot of unseasoned alternatives. We are no idiots over here.

Okay, pre-made hamburger patties. Now it makes sense. We have those too, though they're usually frozen. Some of our more upscale grocery stores and meat markets may have fresh pre-seasoned patties. The frozen ones are - well, of varying degrees of quality. We bought a package of frozen patties (I can't remember the brand) and threw them on the grill a few days later. They started bloating up on the grill, and when my husband pressed on one with a spatula, it literally popped like a zit! There was so much grease in the inside of the patties! That pretty much turned us off of frozen patties completely. Now we make our own.

Luckily, the Kroger house brand ones are at least halfway decent. If just eaten as burgers -- thaw, then sprinkle curry powder and splash with Worcestershire they're pretty tasty.

I've had that happen with fresh patties too, I think it happens from cooking the outside too quickly before the inside gets a chance to catch up and makes a bubble.

You seared it too good too quickly!!!

Also happens a lot for me if I use the "only flip once" method that some people swear by.
