To be fair, I can quite see why a senior member of Boris Johnson's government would want to get completely out of it right now:
I searched his name on Twitter just to see what kind of replies he got. I found plenty of replies to him. Didn't get as far into his timeline to find that one,he's just too toxic. No wonder I already had him blocked!
A 9/11 memorial parade float during a small town parade in Indiana sparked outrage for its representation of the twin towers billowing smoke.
The float, part of the 40th Popcorn Festival on Sept. 11 in Porter County, featured the twin towers with smoke billowing up from them, with a black hole in each appearing to represent where the airplanes struck the World Trade Center buildings during the attacks 20 years ago.
The float was sponsored by the Valparaiso Republicans.
“We worked so hard to show our love, respect, our sorrow and respect to all the 9/11 victims, the soldiers who died in Afghanistan and our first responders,” the Valparaiso Republicans said in a Facebook post.
“We wished no disrespect and regret that our tribute to the lives lost and those who continue to serve was to some perceived in bad taste,” the statement said in part.
Since the TMZ article, they edited out all the negative comments from their Facebook post.

Seems to me to be an accurate representation of the day's events...A 9/11 memorial parade float during a small town parade in Indiana sparked outrage for its representation of the twin towers billowing smoke.

Yeah it's a little groan-worthy maybe but I don't see what's outrageous about this. It's pretty obvious that the sponsors weren't doing it for a joke or to be disrespectful. I bet they spent a lot of time on it.Seems to me to be an accurate representation of the day's events...![]()
Agreed. I thought it was hilarious in a dark way how clueless they were thinking that was a good idea.Yeah it's a little groan-worthy maybe but I don't see what's outrageous about this.
