A someone who used to regularly hang out with large groups of neo-hippies (the SCA), eventually you need some people with organizational skills to take care of the basics. Stuff like water, sanitation, and emergency services. Nah it's not a direct link; it's more like "like leads to like". If you believe the Earth is flat, you have to believe that a vast global conspiracy exists to suppress this truth and indoctrinate people with the "lie" that the Earth is round.
