So, the last week or so, I've had this weird issue. I simply, could not teleport onto my own parcel. It always dropped me next door with "Cannot teleport closer."

Apparently, I had accidentally blocked teleport routing. i didn't even know that was possible.

Maximum Length of a Group Notice:

512 single-byte characters.

I call bullshit. Sure, in a notice's text field and the toast pop ups, the limit is 512 (technically it's 511, but not worth going into the reasons for this). But reading a notice from the Group Profile window, I'm not seeing it. I sent a notice that is a total of 483 characters. Total. Not a lot of nonsensical encoded baby talk chatter, just straight ASCII and 3 carriage returns. And the notice in the Profile window is cut off at 472.

I am not the model of brevity in notices, so restrictions as they stand often kill me when composing a notice. But I need to close out with a "Sincerely" or more likely a "Cheers!", Linden. Don't make me stop doing that!

Also, why not just go to a full 1K text limit? Would that extra 512 cause disruptions in the system, LL? Bring down the network? Cause fires and earthquakes on the grid?

The early Lindens were heavily focused on land/building/scripting, since that was THEIR interests and that of the techy sandboxer crowd they communicated with the most, over social and community features.

Personally, I always believed LL should have bought Ning and integrated it with SL.

In Season 2, I had an amulet that automatically fired CE whenever you moved in range. So after my skels and golem blitz the mass of demons, I just walk behind and let everything blow up! I pictured myself filing my fingernails as I did so.
