We are going to bill you for the facility which is in network, and the doctor, who is in network for where you normally see them but out of network at this facility, and that random nurse who came in from the adjoining hospital, and the amesthesiologist, who is out of network in this fscility, but the actual anethesia procedure is not.

Also these bills will all arrive at irregular intervals individually and we don't have the technology to pile them all together into one bill, sonyou get to figure out which is which and which you already paid and which you are still making payments on but also some of them you may need to call insurance then the hospital then insurance to correct billing code errors that may make them covered differently.

Also we already sent some of them to a collections agency before even billing you which may or may not actually have any authority to force you to pay because they are just buying debt and hoping that calling you endlessly will get you to pay.

The CDC has eventually gotten around to making a statement and they have officially name-dropped Taco Bell lettuce, even though only a few of the sick people have eaten at Taco Bell. An off-the-record CDC source has said that the actual problem is Taylor Farms, a massive produce packer that supplies bagged chopped lettuce not only to Taco Bell but also Burger King, McDonald's, Chipotle and any number of other restaurants, as well as to grocers like Costco, Kroger, Trader Joes, and countless others.

Taylor Farms was also the source of the McDonald's chopped onions that caused the E. Coli outbreak a year or so ago.

The outbreak seems mostly confined to the midwest/Great Lakes region, so if you're not there it's not a big concern for you.

Also, Taylor Farms is -A- supplier of veggies, but not an exclusive supplier. I think I read that the particular Taco Bell restaurants that use Taylor stopped serving their stuff like a week ago even before there was a definite connection, so if you just ate at a Taco Bell and there was lettuce then that place wasn't using Taylor Farms and you should be okay.

I can't say anything about any other restaurants though.

Oh hey, Trump's FDA fucked up.

Cyclospora outbreak: FDA says it made a ‘false positive.’ Taylor Farms lettuce products are still being recalled
There is a new update regarding the Cyclospora outbreak that has affected multiple states across the nation, causing explosive diarrhea in hundreds of individuals.

The update includes a recall of select lettuce products made by a major food manufacturer, but additional comments from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are likely to cause confusion. Here’s the latest and what you need to know.
On Friday, July 17, Taylor Fresh Foods, which sells pre-made salad products under the Taylor Farms brand, announced a voluntary recall of numerous lettuce products sold to food companies and at retailers.
However, on Sunday, July 19, the FDA published a Cyclospora Investigation update that said the agency erred in its testing of lettuce under investigation, and that the product tested was actually a false positive.

And now, salmonella...

Midwest Poultry Services has recalled 1.6 million cartons of eggs, and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a food-safety alert about a 98-case Salmonella outbreak in 17 states.

The CDC, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and public health authorities are investigating the outbreak, which has led to 26 hospitalizations. Among the 44 patients interviewed, 91% said they ate eggs before symptom onset. The FDA traced the cases to Midwest Poultry Services.
The recalled brown cage-free eggs and white eggs were produced in Texas and shipped to food-service and retail outlets in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, with best-by dates of June 6 to August 17.

The eggs were available to consumers at Kroger stores in Texas and Louisiana and Brookshire grocery stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi. Brand names included Kroger, Simple Truth, Brookshire's, Cal-Maine, and Country Morning.

The explosive diarrhea will continue until morale improves.

Explosive diarrhea parasite cases rise by thousands, now in 45 states
Cases of cyclosporiasis, a stomach-churning parasitic infection known for causing explosive diarrhea, have now reached 45 states as infections climb well into the thousands.

There have been 6,707 laboratory-confirmed cases of the illness since May 1, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in its weekly update on July 28, a more than 2,500 increase since its last report on July 21. Cases have also now been recorded in 45 states, up from 41 last week. More than 11,500 additional cases, primarily in Michigan and Ohio, have not yet been confirmed by laboratories, the CDC said.
There have been 423 hospitalizations and no deaths, per the agency.
Death by diarrhea is not what I want in on my death certificate.
