"The Sheep Detectives" (95%/96% on rotten tomatoes), very silly, amazing cast, enjoyed it thoroughly. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. :)

I just watched it squeeeeeeee 🐑
With all the horrors happening right now, I think it’s exactly what I needed. A murder mystery solved by some sheep detectives.

Did you watch the end credits till the end? You hear a voice say
”I still think it was the maid.”

Also, I love Emma Thompson. She’s so good at playing no-nonsense types.
Also, also, I want a little winter lamb…

Some people say "Die Hard" is their Xmas movie. For me, it's a different Bruce Willis movie:

"12 Monkeys" because it has a scene with a department store still decked out with holiday decorations.

Happy Death Day and its sequel Happy Desth Day 2U are both much better than they should be. The second does a fun twist that mixes up the gimmick of the original. They kind of set up a third with a mid credits scene and I hope they get around to doing it.

I caught a video of Netflix's Willy Wonka game show, and immediately knew it just had to be a shitshow.

Bingo.

The real centerpiece of the show is Netflix digging up Willy Wonka star Gene Wilder’s vocal cords for the series narrator, giving Wilder’s warmly menacing tones the cadence of a text-to-speech program. While the press release from Netflix doesn’t mention AI, presumably because people aren’t wild about the tech, Deadline reports that Netflix worked with ElevenLabs, which is hard at work recreating Stan Lee’s voice, to develop its simulacrum. The faux Wilder sounds unconvincing and lacks whatever allure the actor brought to the role, e.g., his humanity, but we should note that the streamer did receive the blessing of the Wilder estate.
Knowing the Wilder estate gave the go ahead for this (how much were they paid off for it?) does not make me feel better.
