I can see that, if he'd just made TESB and stopped there everyone's nostalgic childhood SF movies would be Barbarella and Zardoz.

It would definitely fit the original idea that the whole "Episode 4" was apng old serialized shows and you were not t really meant to think much more about it.

The Life of Chuck is in theatres. Looks good, might make me actually go to the cinema.
Haven’t read the book (Stephen King) and don’t know what it’s about (Please, don’t tell me what it’s about) but I’m hearing good things.

Yet another sequel that shouldn't have been made.
Technically this is the third Spaceballs property. Back in 2008 we had Spaceballs: The Animated Series. While it did use some of the same voices for it, it definitely should never have been made.

Will Spaceballs 2 be so good, we need to watch the trailer twice?
Since when does a series need to be good to get a sequel?

And when do we get the last part of the Jesus trilogy? You thought Spaceballs 2 took forever!

I watched it twice... and dammit, I still can't figure out...
why the calligrapher is so messed up. Was he in the van that had an accident? It seems like he was there before the crash... I just don't know, and it bugs me. The rest of the series was so much fun though!
I was convinced that the calligrapher did it. He was always there on the edges, clearly very rattled, and yet no one ever looked at him closely. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE!! Dammit, that was a very subtle red herring, and I fell for it.

Trailer for Project Hail Mary, the new film based on the novel from Andy Weir (The Martian). (Could be considered riddled with spoilers if you're concerned for that sort of thing. I've read the book, so... eh.)

It's a trailer so anything goes, but it looks like they've done a good job of sticking to the voice of the book. Due in theaters March of next year.

I have been catching up in on the latest season of The Rookie, and the cold opens previously were almost always funny one shot bits, but for some reason they have barely been doing that this season.

And I kind of hate that.

Just for reference, this is the old comedy style, and its become a reoccuring joke on the show.

I just started watching a series I knew nothing about: The Outpost

There are four seasons, it’s uber campy, and the monsters/fx look straight from Land of the Lost. I love it. Perfect before sleep show. It’s Fantasy, swords, and magic.

It was originally on CW (2018-21) which we don’t get here. I watch it on Plex (free with ads) but I think the last 2 seasons are on Prime.

Anyone ever seen it?

Not sure if it’s only in Canada, but Paramount is offering returning customers 50% of for three months (or a yearly subscription) until July 10th. Just in time for Strange New Worlds.

The Minecraft movie is on HBO here at work and, maybe I am just not the "target demo", but I am not really enjoying it. Its a lotta obnoxious.

I watch less TV now. And honestly, I struggle to remember what it was I've watched recently, it's all be so freaking bland. I've started watching something and then 5 minutes in realise "geeze this is predicta... oh wait... I think I've seen this one before."

Finding out that Wheel of Time got axed has left me in a funk. I should probably just put all my streaming services on hold until some new 'must see' comes out.

I've been trying to watch Tetris, which is on AppleTV+.

I like Taron Egerton. I like humorous looks back at some event or time period. I consider myself somewhat into the history of computer gaming. But boy, something about this film just keeps rubbing me the wrong way. I've started watching it 3 times now. I get another 10-15 minutes into it, and have to keep turning it off.

Because there's nothing important on the table?
