Nathan Fillion has just revealed at Awesome Con that an animated Firefly series is in advanced development based on the beloved cult sci-fi franchise—and Deadline has the details.

Fillion spoke on a panel at the Washington, D.C. event and live taping of his “Once We Were Spacemen” podcast alongside co-stars Alan Tudyk, Gina Torres, Jewel Staite, Morena Baccarin, Sean Maher, and Summer Glau, all of whom are expected to reprise their roles. Adam Baldwin, who played Jayne Cobb, will also lend his voice to the project.

Joss Whedon isn't involved (...), but Fillion, who seems to be spearheading the thing, says he got his blessing for the project. Looks like it's set between the first season and the movie (Serenity), which could work.

I've personally moved on from the show, but I'll be happy to give it try if and when it's made available.

so they need a way. I hope that Jayne is off ship "dealing with something" though, because Adam Baldwin sucks. They coyld easy use a different voice I suppose, but I head somewhere Fillion was still friends with him so they will probably just have him on. Fillion seems like a guy who is basically friends with everyone.

In a proper "Nobody Cares" story. This movie is on HBO, Going the Distance. It has Drew Barrymore and Justin Long in a relationship. And I am sitting here thinking, "Isn't Drew Barrymore a lot older than he is?

And it turns out, she is only like 3 years old.

So then I think, "I always confuse Justin Long with the brother from iCarley for some reason, thats probably why I thought he was a lot younger. Jerry Trainor, the brother from iCarley, is a year OLDER then Justin Long.

I went and saw Project Hail Mary. A guy came in with his service dog and the dog sat there the whole time just concentrating on the movie. Afterwards I told the guy I was amazed your dog watched the movie like that. He replied, me too especially because he hated the book.
