My eyes were besmirched by the sight of a Cybertruck over this past weekend. 1) It's huge. You just don't get the scale of the hideous thing in pictures. Even next to real, full-size pickups, it still looks huge. (Somebody's compensating for something, I think.) 2) It's also uglier than it seems in pictures. 3) The one I saw was not on fire. Yet.

I'm telling you, this thing stopped me in my tracks as the phrase "Holy shit!" exploded from my mouth. The person I was with went with an involuntary, "What in the hell is that??!?" He was convinced it was some sort of homebuilt vehicle gone insanely wrong.

One Tesla dealership tried to do the Jeep thing where they park the vehicle with one or more wheels halfway up a large boulder or other obstacle, to demonstrate the off-roading capability.

Well,

Just see for yourself.

Just further proof that it's easy to make money when you have money. And of course, the AI beast must be fed at all costs.

Good news?

Tesla board chair Robyn Denholm is calling on the company’s shareholders to approve Elon Musk’s massive $56 billion pay package or risk driving the billionaire CEO to greener pastures.

On June 13th, Tesla shareholders will decide the fate of Musk’s compensation package, which is estimated to be worth as much as $56 billion. It will be the second time that shareholders will vote on the CEO’s pay, after a Delaware judge voided the first one earlier this year on the grounds that the approval process was “deeply flawed.” And now the company is engaged in a full-court press to convince shareholders to approve the proposal a second time.

I don't think it'll happen, though. Tesla is a meme stock, most of the shareholders belong to Elon's personality cult, and the board is heavily weighted with cronies.
Either way, Tesla is going to crash due to the competition eventually so I guess it doesn't matter. It will be quicker if they oust him though.
