Saw this post on Reddit, thought I'd share here.

I have been cashing from SL out a full 12 years now.

I've turned in copies of my ID many times over the years for various reasons.

All my funds come from my MP store, LL can see that easily. I have hundreds, HUNDREDS of dollars sitting that LL won't let me have because evidently I didn't make enough last month to justify it this month.

You have no legal right to prevent me from cashing out my money.

I want my friggin money! You suck Corky Linden, and you're an idiot. I am venting, I know. I'm friggin pissed.
I'm a poor man and I need my money. I like to eat.

No clue what to do with this kind of posts. We have no details.
Only thing I know, I have been in SL almost 12 years now, have been merchant for many years and never ever had one bit of trouble with Linden Lab or my money in SL. I tend to think that there is more to it than the post tells us.

Clicking through on the link, LL has monthly cashout limits. Economic Limits . LL doesn't think he is consistent enough to warrant raising his cashout limit. He's mad about it.

LL decides the rules. It is their business. That is clear from the start.
I would do a lot different if I were the LL CEO, but as a customer I only can accept that the rules are the way they are.

One time, at Band Camp, transfers were delayed for several days while something, max rules perhaps, were being updated. I believe it was during the initial child pron upheaval or, more likely, one if the gambling debacles. But it’s been the only time that LL prevented me access to my money and I need it now!

When there's a limit on how much you can trade at once, either you're selling enough to justify an increase or you need to just cash out over several months. Can understand some frustration if you have great sales one month and hit the trading limits, but the limits aren't exactly low IMO.

The last time I cashed out was over a year ago & it took me a month & a half to get my money from the time I started the cashout. I had been cashing out money (around $100 US) almost every month for 2 yrs & all of a sudden it was a problem for them. Before it'd taken me only a few days from initiating the cash out until it was in Paypal & then into my bank. Now it took an act of the gods to get money from LL. Nothing on my part had changed - same email, same Paypal info, no massive amount of money change. First they tried to blame it on Paypal not having the right info. Paypal blamed it on SL not giving them the right info. Of course nothing had changed from the previous times I'd cashed out but suddenly it was almost impossible to do. Every couple days they had a different excuse & another guarantee that the problem was "fixed" & I'd soon have my money. I kept on whatever "Linden" was working with me at the time & finally got my money but she said that the same problem would probably be there the next time because it wound up being caused by an error in their accounting that still wasn't fixed.

That was the last time I cashed out. I didn't need that kind of aggravation so now I'm in SL less, make next to no money to worry about cashing out.

Never had this happen if I am cashing out 40 or 4,000 dollars.

Also, it looks like he's had a running feud for months with the Linden employee who's apparently the person who'd be responsible for doing him a favor.

It’s been a long time since I cashed out, but I remember there was some rigmarole involved, including having to explain I was not a business and to show why I had the L. I would think it would be easy to tell if someone was a business, with many little purchases on the books. Has anyone compiled a clear explanation of the LL rules so people know how to comply? We keep getting these threads and it doesn’t seem to be in LL’s best interest to frustrate merchants.

He was on the official forums, he's gotten them to lock and close a few threads because he's went over there doing the same exact thing
