I found Dr. Ford to be very believable. You could see/hear her pain. He reminded me of a sex offender when I worked in prison - and they'd get outraged over having to participate in a sex offender program, or just outraged in general that they were being called to account for what they did.

Yep, I grew up with a man who lied as easily as he breathed. When called to account he always acted in that "You are lying, I am innocent" belligerent, outraged, yelling, all matter of facial contortions, reality denying, gaslighting manner.

That is how some liars attempt to deflect blame and very much how Kavenaugh came across.

She, on the other hand, comported herself with dignity and is the voice of truth. But again, truth apparently has little value anymore. I hope, for her sake, that she is able to move forward and away from all those who attempt to hurt her further. It is going to be grueling and difficult.

I'm not putting any faith in Flake, Collins, or Murkowski. This is all a verbal agreement anyway nothing is binding. We're still relying on McConnell to not try and ram this though, which hahahahahahahah.

The final confirmation vote has been delayed for "no later than one week" to allow the shortest FBI investigation ever. Also, the FBI will be strictly only allowed to investigate the current accusations, presumably not any others that pop up after today or during the investigation.

Graham of course is devastated and afraid of how Daddy might react:

But his fears may be unwarranted, since Trump was apparently like "okay"

Even if Kavenaugh isn't a rapist (a big if but let's pretend):

-His temperament yesterday shows he is unfit for SCOTUS
-He has made it plain that he is a Republican schill and has no intention of ruling otherwise
-He has lied repeatedly under oath about numerous things

There were so many reasons to vote no on him even before any of the rape stuff came up.

There is no "c" in "shill", unless you're just putting a Scottish twist on it.

*runs out the door*

*sticks head back in*

But before I go...

*ducks back out and slams door, then runs away*

Yes, a REAL deal would have been if Flake said he would vote yes in a week. At which point whatisname would have most likely adjourned for that period of time rather than call for the most confusing vote possible (where even the senators there were asking what they were voting on). Now it is all up to McConnel because technically the sexual assaulter has been voted out of committee. In fact there is even MORE of a chance he will be voted on fast because they want him to where you would need to impeach him when the results of the investigation comes back. Hopefully Flake will not vote yes if that happens but I would not count on it.
