Argent means that under World > About land, there's a Type value in the General tab, and it tells you straight out what type of sim/region you're on.

It would cost too much but I wish all the space between private regions was open sailable water.

But also maybe they make a new "water region" level that is like, 5% of the load capacity for a normal sim, because it only needs to handle maybe 1 boat and 2-3 avatars most of the time. Probably just 1 avatar.

We used to have these. They were called "void" sims, water only, allowed five or six avs IIRC. The idea, at the time, was to allow private estates to include inexpensive lake regions. There was even talk of owners linking voids to form a navigable river, or small sea, between their estates. LL stopped renting those but the model exists and they could run several dozen of them effectively on one virtual device.

If I land trough a landmark somewhere on mainland, than I'm on mainland. But I could not live there or hold land there.
In at least 90% of the case mainland is to me the right to live in or next to dumpsters.
And the other 10% that are worthwhile are totally overpriced, because people play the land flipping game.
