My Rezday was the Sunday the 19th, and I have time to post about it today. I finally hit 20 in SL.
Now if you had asked me in 2006 even just a few months after joining, if I'd still be in SL in 2026, I would have probably said no.
I would have said something like: "SL has too many faults and issues to last THAT long, maybe it will hit 10, but 20? Something better will have come around by then. Maybe even an SL2 from LL." If only I could have acquired one of the legacy lifetimes that were available BEFORE I joined SL.
Apparently not. Do not ask me how much I've spent on SL fashion, I don't want to know. It has served me well as dysphoria treatment. Which is one of the reasons I'm still in SL. Yes, I know, I shouldn't use it like that. I still shop, socialize and do whatever. Sometimes take pictures.
I'm also still in SL because of all the people I've known and met. I feel kind of sad sometimes that some of the people I knew back in the old days are no longer in SL. Now I figure some might have alts...and I know of a few oldbie alts. But some...are gone in RL, like Salome, and I miss them terribly. Socialization wise, I still have never been partnered in SL. No one has tried to make an "honest woman" of me....HA!
Fashion wise, my avatar's look has been fairly consistent since 2006. Even though I wear more modern stuff than back then, I still love my pretty dresses and a good updo.
