After about 11 years away, I'm back in Second Life — mostly to refresh the ancient contents of my Marketplace store. We're talking prims and sculpted stuff here, some of which has miraculously never stopped selling. Apparently, virtual archaeology is a viable business model.
I'm also catching up with people I knew back then. I think I was a member of SLU in the old days, but since that's gone now, I'll respectfully start over as a newbie.
SL has certainly changed a lot in 11 years — except, of course, for the lag and the continuing requirement for a computer powerful enough to operate a small NASA facility. Still, it's manageable. Mostly.
The funny thing is, Second Life has supposedly been doomed since practically day one. I first joined in 2004 and heard variations of "SL is dying" for years. Yet here we are, more than two decades later, and the old bugger is still standing.
Whatever anyone thinks of Second Life, that alone deserves a few kudos.
Anyway, I'll be around. I might post, I might not, but I'll definitely be reading.

. Let me know if you have any questions. It can be a daunting change coming back after a long absence. I was out of SL for 10 years, and it took me quite awhile to get used to all the changes. Some stuff still confuses me
