That's terrible. Given that matches seldom feature more than 1 goal over the course of a couple of hours, removing the boozy songs (and occasional riots) seems like a serious blow to the entertainment value of the game. You're basically left with a bunch of men in shorts running up and down a huge field, occasionally faking grievous injury or, far too rarely, breaking into a slapfight. And there's that one guy down at the end whose shirt doesn't match.![]()
