The guy's voice-over where he's going on about how the python has enevr bitten anyone, in contrast to his cat.
Is this is the guy we're OK with on the point of supervision?

It's not biting you need to be worried about from constrictors. Ours are nowhere near that big and we wouldn't introduce them to small children, even the ball pythons who are basically potatoes.

At least he does say she's never left unsupervised with the snake.
When I was young and silly (instead of old and silly) we somehow ended up baby-sitting a ball python over the summer.

It liked me. And slept around my neck . . .

I don't think "OK" is quite the term I would use. More surprised that he was willing to make that concession to sanity.

I had a ball python in my bed for the Houston freeze earlier this year. In a knotted pillowcase, not loose.

This is positively horrifying :eyepop:

I'm glad it hasn't moved on from fish into mammals and I hope it doesn't!

That's the plot of one of Charlie Stross's novels in the Laundry series, give or take some evil elder gods and mind control.

Monkey 'queen' led a violent coup to become her troop's first female leader. Now her reign is in jeopardy.
The young female fought her own mother and 4 top-ranking males to seize control of her troop.
Japanese macaques (Macaca fuscata) — also known as snow monkeys for their habit of basking in hot springs when the weather gets snowy — live in strictly hierarchical societies, Kaigaishi explained; higher-ranking monkeys get greater access to food and mates.
Huh, sounds vaguely familiar... like I've encountered that dynamic before... I'm sure it will come to me eventually.
