I'm no stranger to flash flooding, there was a major arroyo on the shortcut home from my high school (probably 80 miles away from where this video was made). I stupidly tried crossing through the run-off once and only once. It 'wasn't bad! only a foot deep' or so I thought. The rushing water had liquified the sandy floor and I was sinking up to my hips as I forded across. At least I didn't have to worry about being hit by debris, the upstream bridges had iron grates to catch flotsam.

I've never seen anything like this video though. That's gonna leave a creepy stain for a long time!
