It's doubtful he can carry this on to its richly deserved end.
Where he drops so much mass he shrinks to a singularity?

(Yes, I know that's not how it works!)

tldr summary: Primary transmission of the COVID-19 virus is by air. But you know, don't stop washing your hands YET.

It would be sufficient unto the deed if he would starve himself to death. Of course, no singularity is required, though if he could quickly attain his Schwarzschild radius, his event horizon, the world would be enriched thereby, not to mention the study of astrophysics. A noble (Nobel, too) sacrifice from our Boris!

September 2020 - Accelerated drug approval
September 2022 - Unanticipated side effects show up
December 2022 - Drug recall
So you have already results no one even has collected yet?

On the other hand, making a vaccine isn't totally from scratch these days. There is a lot of general knowledge already available.
The procedures to follow are already there from other virus vaccines and they know what steps are important and where to look for and what to leave out of their minds.

And the long term side effects from every medicine show only when it is used in the field.
There still is a small risk when you take a simple paracetamol against your head ache.

When the invitation is in the mail from my doctors office for a Covid shot (hoprfully somewhere next year), I will go and get mine.

If I lived in Europe, I'd do that, too. But I live in America with Donald Trump as president, and for the moment, I don't trust ANYTHING this government promotes.

If Biden wins, he still won't take office until January, and it will takes months, if not years, to untangle the partisan hack messes created by the Trump administration. Covid vaccines will, I'm sure, be a high priority, but I'm still waiting out at least the first part of 2021 before even considering a vaccine, because it will take at least that long to weed out all the Trump lackeys and backroom vendor deals and obscured data. And again, this is the U.S., not a civilized country, so getting on the list for a vaccine isn't guaranteed. Supplies will be quite limited at first, and it would be naive to think that those shots will go to the most vulnerable first.

I've already volunteered for trials in the UK, though I suspect I won't get called until later on, possibly when they want to assess the effectiveness of adjuvants with older patients.

Like Sid, I'm not particularly worried about vaccines, since I do trust Oxford University and the NHS to do a proper job of testing anything and not to endanger either volunteers or the general public, though I would probably feel differently if I lived in the US.

So, I've been answering the occasional research questions from 23&me [which is either owned by now, or working with pharma research company?] and apparently, O is 9-18% less like to even contract covid, but then I got curious and started poking about...

My A type self is happier because apparently while more prone to bacterial infections, Rh- is less prone to -most viral infections.

“Inflammation is a particularly important finding because prevailing scientific thought is that COVID-19 wreaks havoc on the body through systemic inflammation, which can lead to morbidity and death,” Dua said. “We found, however, that inflammation markers remained similar in infected patients regardless of their blood type.”

An intriguing finding from the study was that there appeared to be a greater chance of people with blood types B and AB who were Rh positive testing positive for the virus. Even stronger evidence was assembled by the team that symptomatic people with blood type O were less likely to test positive.
“These findings need to be further explored to determine if there is something inherent in these blood types that might potentially confer protection or induce risk in individuals,” Dua said.

Yes, and I saw that in the article, that not everyone agrees, specifically Harvard, but....regardless, I'll take what little comfort I can because my spouse is O [not sure if + or -] and is being forced to Atlanta in two weeks.

The point being, there are different schools of thought on this, none of them more or less qualified to be right....

Since the studies on Vitamin K are still indicating there's some protective value, I've been forcing myself to sit outside for about 10-15 minutes every day. Can't hurt, might help.
I have to be careful because sunlight + my face means red, angry, allergic reaction... but I do try and get sun on arms.
