Prosperity theology is not a very big movement precisely because it really has no biblical support. I do think the bible is a mess and not a good source of truth, as I said clearly in my post, but that doesn't mean all ways to cherry pick it are equally supported. You can cherry pick if Jesus would like gay people or not or if he'd approve of abortions or not because he doesn't actually address those topics. The bible does state some things more directly than others. But TO BE CLEAR, I do wish it was politically feasible in the USA to just throw it out of politics all together.But you end on "the bible actually is pretty clearly against money hording and for charity," which is not true for the cherry picker.
