Cringe, I guess, But a punchline? Nah. At least with a punchline, you might get the opportunity to laugh.
Thanks for the article. I really think he helped the movement a lot more as a martyr than as a weird guy who debates kids. ...mostly by ambushing them with horrifically dumb claims in sound byte format.
A New York sculptor has been left furious after spending $100,000 of his own money to build a lifesize statue of Charlie Kirk, only to find that no one wants to buy it.
Sergio Furnari, originally from Italy, had hoped the statue of the deceased far-right activist, which he intends to display in Times Square, would raise “millions” of dollars. Instead, he said he has been inundated by messages from people saying they intend to urinate on the sculpture.
To add injury to insult, Furnari recently broke his foot working on the statue, after tripping over a roll of tape in his studio.
It could be worse, I guessAll else about Kirk aside.
That statue is really bad. The torso is way too short and the head just looks weird.
It honestly looks more like someone was immitating those memes that make fun of how Kirk looks than like someone trying to make a statue and honor him.
It could be worse, I guess

Evernote LinkThe legal prosecution against Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is underway. Earlier this month, a judge held a preliminary hearing to determine whether prosecutors had enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial. (It’s expected that the case will.) When Kirk was fatally shot in September, conservatives predicted his death would be a catalyst for a revival—a moment of remaking America, and one heavily infused with conservative Christian values. But no such revival was forthcoming: The conservative movement fragmented after Kirk’s death, divided by a host of wild conspiracy theories over the “real story” behind the killing.
If MAGA had any hope of uniting around Robinson’s prosecution, it evaporated almost instantly. Instead, the pretrial this month resurfaced the schisms. While the legal proceedings played out, conservative content creators rushed to social media to accuse each other of idiocy, bigotry, plotting, and evil.
