President Trump announced on social media that Charlie Kirk had died after being shot in the neck at an event in Utah.

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

He was vehemently anti-lgbtq, especially anti-trans, quoting Leviticus... a bible passage that clearly calls for execution as punishment.

He wanted to eradicate women's rights, blaming "liberation" for high rates of depression among women.

Dismissed systemic racism and blamed the hardships faced by blacks entirely on "absent fathers"

His debate theatrics were cherry picked, very selectively edited to make him look victorious, and his organization was toxic and destructive enough that even other Republicans called him out for it.

He may not have been a Nazi, but he had the stink of it all over him.

The shooter: Authorities are still searching for the suspect, the mayor says. A person who was taken into custody at Utah Valley University was not the suspect, according to a person familiar with the investigation and was not authorized to speak publicly. It was not clear if authorities were still searching the campus for a suspect.

Charlie was about as openly racist as you can get away with being in mainstream American politics, which is to say everything short of just saying you hate minorities. He liked to use "multiculturalism" as a dog whistle for that.
