Not long ago, I discovered Starbucks' Cafe Latte in tiny bottles. They remind me of the minibar bottles in hotels. Several flavors (Vanilla, Chocolate, Caramel, etc), but I go right for the yuck with Cafe Latte.

I was going to take a short nap today but my eyeballs are snickering at me for entertaining such a ridiculous notion. I think I'm ready to write my own War & Peace, now. And it's delivered to my door!!!

I love the mocha, but I have to trade off on lesser iced coffee products like International Delight due to the price. $8-9 for a four pack of 9.5 ounce bottles? Argh!

Caffeine is not food! It's DRUGS! But I'll start a thread on there about the delight of cocaine. (not serious).

And yeah, I wish I didn't like starbucks products as much as I do... I mostly make instant coffee because it's so much cheaper, but I can never make it taste as good.

Speaking of caffeine, for a variety of reasons, a few weeks ago I started drinking my coffee black. Not sure yet whether I'll stick with it.

Welcome to the club Beebo. My hot coffee is black because keeping creams and sugars is too much trouble really. But iced coffee does require a bit of milk, just milk, and still no sweetener. Never any sweeteners. I can't consume artificial sweeteners or margarines because they inflict indescribable pain on my intestines. It's limiting but being overly cautious about it is worth the effort.

I loved my vanilla creamer, but it comes in these intense plastic containers that suffuse me with guilt, takes room in the fridge, and by all reports the creamer itself is far from a healthy additive.

These days for hot coffee I'm on the Keurig pods.

The store I regularly visit has their own brand of cappuccino drink mixes, both in caramel and french vanilla flavors, in the pods. They're like a hot chocolate/coffee blending, with a bit more flavoring. I've been enjoying them for a while.

I don't think anyone told Seattle about this replacement business. Here, it's coffee all day, alcohol at night to take the edge off the coffee, then more coffee the next day because of the alcohol last night...

On my recent vacation (crazy I know) I was introduced to a cocktail called Cool Beans. Cold Brew, Crème de Cacao and Espresso Vodka

Felt very efficient to combine my caffeine with my alcohol and suitable for every meal or time of day

I'm still kinda covid-shy, so I don't hang out in the 20+ places for coffee within a trivial half mile of my front door, at least not as much as I used to.

It was an indulgence before the lockdown, but now, what with inflation and labor scarcity... a simple americano with vanilla syrup and tip? We're talking most of $10. It's silly.

So unless I really need to just get out of the house and am willing to 'rent' a table with that drink for a few hours... my habit is more than satisfied by Trader Joe's "Cold Brew" (the ready to drink version, not the concentrated alternatives). Costs the same as going out for coffee, but I get 3 doses of wakebean juice out of it instead of one.

I accidentally ordered more iced coffee on Amazon and got their Mocha Latte Keurig pods. I don't have a Keurig, not gonna buy one, so they either go to the trash or maybe a joke gift this Christmas.

I have been having stomach problems this week. Not pains, but generally queasy feelings. I couldn't figure out what was causing it, but the big change in my dietary habits of late has been the addition of iced Starbucks coffee.

Enough of that crap. I'm cutting wayyyyy back before I get addicted.
