Between the Four Seasons thing and the Borat film, Rudy is going to have a rough road when they indict him for the Ukraine scandal. Or did everyone forget he's a co-conspirator with people who are already arrested? I think the main reason they haven't yet is Bill Barr is still Attorney General. Speaking of which, Barr apparently went into hiding several weeks ago. We haven't seen or heard from him.

I suspect that he and Mitch McConnell must have decided some weeks ago that Trump was more of a liability than an asset and that, assuming the polls were correct, they'd simply bank their tax cuts and judgeships, and walk quietly away from the table, leaving Trump to flounder, and ultimately sink, on his own.

While the Don has been an absolutely catastrophe in the office and of course good riddance, he also has actually earned some merits. Of course building a wall to Mexico is not amongst them, but there are some few, like:

• having NOT started a war with Iran
• having NOT started a new war at all
• pulling back soldiers out of Afghanistan
• making some progress in the relation ship to North Korea, although the preparations for this have been done by South Korean president Moon Jae-In
• getting Arabian countries like UAE and Bahrain finally to make peace with Israel, also in the process getting Saudi Arabia to finally allow Israel's airline to use their air space, which means that probably later KSA might join the club,
• redefining the trade relation ships with the People's Republic of China and ending the era of Chimerica, but this is a mixed bag: it would have been better for him to get the support of the EU and maybe Japan with Australia upfront to have a deeper economical impact. USA+EU+japan+Australia dealing with China would have had more impact than USA alone.
• re-vitalizing NASA by funding programs to move back to the moon and move later to the mars,
• creation of the Space Force as newest arm of the US armed forces.
