I see them forming around Kasich for the 2024 election. Guys who only seem reasonable because the party went batshit crazy.

Who said anything about money? I'm thinking more along the lines of the political intelligence that was shared so it was seen to come from within the GOP, from the "real" conservatives. Casualties on both sides of the GOP civil war were always going to be an inevitable consequence of the "Never Trumpers" leading a revolt against DJT. He's already made it clear he will be punishing those representatives and senators who "betrayed" him, and they have no choice but to fight for their survival. This will be a continuing theme for the 2022 primaries, and I'm merely suggesting we refrain from doing anything but making more popcorn.
