Which matches another conclusion I just saw and the same one I reached. A dedicated person could vote twice [like registering to watch the beeb online when you live in another country]. It just is not worth writing a bot to do it though.

The government and parliament are forced to decide over the next weeks what they want.
They can't continue the ritual and tribal dancing in Westminster much longer. The EU has dictated a very tight time schedule. So there has to be a lot of amending, "Division!, clear the lobby" and "Order! Order!!!" shouting in Parliament in upcoming days, to finally decide with what a majority can live with as a solution, to get out of the created Brexit mess.

These indicative votings can narrow down the number of discussions. To get faster forward.
But the UK parliament is so divided over this and there is so much self importance in the House, I wouldn't bet any money on that ATM.

There is a bill on the table that changes "Theresa's way or No Deal" into "Theresa's way or No Brexit". This could force a revocation of A50, or it could lead to the ERG supporting the NA in a third "meaningful vote" which might be enough to pass.

Well, as he clearly says, he's not a legal expert. For now I just say it adds to the absurdity of the situation.

Edit (to avoid adding another brief post): The petition has now passed the 4.2 million mark and is the most popular petition at the parliament website ever. Oh, and Jeremy Corbyn's constituency is on the top ten list of signees.

Yes, now that I looked at it I am a bit meh on this one. People already know there will be legal issues but it does not really change anything. Basically Mrs UK told Mr EU she wanted a divorce and it was granted. It is hardly Mr EU's problem if it violates something else he had not signed on to. It might be a problem for the house of commons later but that does not change the situation if the UK leaves the EU.
