Unless you've been hiding on the dark side of the moon, Apex Legends should by now ring a bell or more in your head.
In case you don't know this game: it is a free to play Battle Royale shooter created by Respawn Entertainment, which was founded by the people responsible for Call of Duty until 2010, and published by EA. It's located in the Titanfall universe, and adds some interesting new ideas to the genre, like only fighting in squad teams of three, different types of heroes (aka legends), very usable and easy ping system and much, much more. It is a direct competitor to mostly Fortnite and PUBG. Even people who don't like the usual BR games are having quite much fun in it.
The game was hinted maybe 1 1/2 weeks ago, two days after the hint it was released on PC, PS and Xbox to the surprise of everybody and BOOM went big. It's where the new hype train is right now; it gained already 25 million players within one week, and overtook Twitch by storm. The EA stock price, which has been on an all time low in October, skyrocketed because of it.
The most important thing is that the game is fun to play, and already very stable. It's like a breath of fresh air for the whole genre, and shows lot of promise.
So - has anybody here already given it a try?
