It's coming out on December 10 (December 9 in some areas).

I'm looking forward to playing this game! I like how its a futuristic sci-fi open world rpg!

My spouse is champing at the bit for it and picked up the tabletop book.

I really want to play it. I don't know if my GTX 1050 will handle it even on lowest resolution though. Steam gives a two hour window to return it if it can't run so I'll try that.

Just got it and preloading it right now.
I'm so stoked about this and have time off work to play.

I'm also looking forward to the soundtrack as much as the game play.

I'm looking forward to it! Cyberpunk 2020 was my jam back in middle school and high school. My friends always took some convincing to play it with me, because they said it was too crunchy, but every now and then my pitch would hit, and they would play cyberpunk with me.

I do worry, because they have had development delays, then went back and forth about DLC, and then they didn't lift the review embargo until yesterday, and most reviewers only had a few hours to play it, if that.

Also, I preordered it so I could download it early. That is the kiss of death. Every time I preorder a game, the release is a massive disaster.

To make the game as awesome as I expect it to be, Im spending the day playing Duke Nukem Forever. Everything feels like a masterpiece after Duke Nukem Forever!

Gonna play. This might be the first game my clocked 980 will chug on. It'll finally give me an excuse to upgrade. =^-^=

Good luck with that. My GF asked me to build her a gaming PC for christmas. The scalpers are all over the place, grabbing all the good video cards. You can't get a 3k series RX card right now. I told her it's gonna take a while, maybe things will improve in the first week or two of Jan. If not, I'll just set her up on a cheap card until the market settles down a bit. The rest of the components will probably drop in price after Christmas, too.

I'm curious about it, but I need to know more before I consider picking it up.

only very few have been lucky to outbeat scalper bots .... i've been told its better if you walk into your local computer store as they might have reseve for in store sale only depending on their policy.

1060 or 1660 should be more enough to to run it recommended 1080 High and get all the details... i'm planning to rebuild my comptuer during my winter vacation with parts i got on black friday....hopefully by then some the initial release bugs will be worked out and download server will be stable.

I preordered Cyberpunk 2077, so I could download it early. I never do this, because every time I preorder, the launch is a disaster. This is the first time I've done this in a decade. I figure I'm definitely going to buy the game, even if it's bad, so I might as well download it early, right?

Weird thing is... in my steam client, there's an update for it on my downloads page. It's scheduled to begin downloading in 5 minutes. So I hit the download now button, and it pops up to the top of the downloads page for a moment, then jumps back down to scheduled updates. Scheduled for the same time. So I figure I'll let it download in 5 minutes. This must be the day 0 patch. I keep checking back, to see if it is coming in, because I'm curious about how big this patch will be, and how bogged down the servers will be. No matter how long I wait, it's always pushed back to 5 minutes from now.

Is this normal release day bugginess, or is this new weirdness?

i've seen this behaviour before. it's not new...it will download when they release it.. not much you can do...

Has there ever been a big game Release where steam features a countdown on the Front page?

It probably won't even run. In the meantime, it's going to take 11 1/2 hours to download on this lame internet connection.

Preloading is weird. I downloaded it two days ago. I just rebooted while troubleshooting an annoying hardware issue (I tried a beta release of my BIOS and it sucks, but now it doesn't want to roll back). Then I opened steam, and it had a preload button on Cyberpunk, so I hit it, and it wanted 60 Gb again. My little SSD was almost full, so I manually deleted the steam library folder from it, then hit preload. So now it's downloading again. It will probably be downloaded by 7, when the game is set to release, but this is annoying.

This kind of stuff is why I don't preorder things.

Looks like the 0-day patch was included in the pre-download. I saw it complete, start again on a smaller download, and complete again. (>_<)

Looks like my crusty old 980 ~can~ run the game at 3440x1440 with graphics set to potato. Even then, not half bad. =^-^=
