People who realize that Mitch McConnell is more in touch with what HIS party and HIS voters think than we are. He's practically begging Republican judges who are thinking about retiring to do it now so that another Republican can be guaranteed to be appointed to those lifelong positions. You don' t do that when you're extremely confident YOUR party will still be in power after January.

Welcome to political disappointment. Are you new to this? I wouldn't think so, but you are acting as if you are putting a hex upon us all or you have a crystal ball because your guy didn't make it.

Hey, my first presidential vote was Michael Dukakis. Then, of course there were those that I really liked this time; Castro, Warren, Harris, etc... If it is okay to say that Biden being in the race squashed their chances, then it is equally fair to say the same of Sanders, isn't it?

In my last post, I had a sentence about how Bernie might do as he did last time, hang in until the bitter end, officially endorsing Biden but winking and nodding at Bernie or Bust people and Bernie Bros, nor would he do much to quell the vigor and rancor of the people he has hired in promotion division.

It might not be clear from how against him for the nomination I've been this time, but I like Bernie. I still have a "Birdie Sanders" sticker from 2016 and I think a lot of his ideas are where we need to be heading over the next several years (just not as fast as was promised). I don't think he can win and I think we need a calming, stabilizing force right now (not revolution), but I think its admirable that he is dropping out now. He's not just going to unify the party if he works to do so from this, he's saving lives by cancelling the need for people to congregate in states where they won't allow vote by mail/drop off.

Sanders is done. Where doe this leave Biden? Biden is going to need something in his arenal more than just defeating Trump during a national crisis.

A revolution is here. It's not the one that anybody expected or wanted.

The Obama solutions did not included a pandemic. That ship has sailed.

Biden is going to have to lay down a new vision and show that he is a revolutionary leader, whether he wanted to or not.

Rooting for Trump to fail is rooting for Americans to fail. Patriotism returns. Biden will have to play ball on this field.
