This whole thing reeks of what is best for society and what is best for the individual which aren't the same. For instance, Amazon is sold out of masks that may be highly needed by health care workers or those with compromised immune systems.

I'm fairly anxious under normal circumstances that I am going to pass something to the son with Crohn's disease, and so I have a lot of the facemasks and gloves stuff around the house anyway. I've had Brexit/Apocalypse stores for well over a year, but my children have pointed out how random they are: I have tinned foods, nuts, pasta, raisins, but I bought things I thought might become a lot more expensive, like Brandy and olive oil, camembert etc. I've tried to buy extras of things I would buy anyway, like tinned fish and tomato passata etc, but of course we have raided the stores from time to time, and so it has become less cohesive and more haphazard as time has elapsed. I seem to have an inordinate amount of pineapple, probably because I like it and tend to add a tin when I am ordering tinned foods, but then don't eat it. If we do come to a time of lockdown, we're going to have a pretty weird menu.

I have stocked up food for about a month now. Only stuff that I normally use, It will not make gourmet dinners either.
But I recon, a portion of plain pasta or a bowl of plain rice is better than a hungry feeling.

And damn.... I could store some tinned pineapple.

Plus 50 or so still under quarantine in the same area. At least that was the number I heard this morning. It's probably more than that now.

Getting a little close to home. My sister in law lives in Snohomish County, and her husband's firm is owned by a Japanese company so there is frequent travel by coworkers. They service international airports (but not in China for IP reasons).

Yes I just heard an update on the news that in Washington state we now have 6 dead, 18 sick & tested positive for the virus & around 50 in quarantine with no symptoms so far. I'm not going to keep posting the daily deaths here tho. That would get too depressing. The stores & Amazon are getting sold out of masks, gloves, cold meds of many kinds, cleaning & disinfectant supplies, basics like toilet paper, hand wipes & water. There's price gouging even on Amazon where people buy up supplies & then resell them for many times the price. It feels very surreal.

I think we need to convince Trump to support a Pacific Northwest Barrier System and use the money to improve the National Parks in the Rockies and Cascades.

Best comment so far: By praying for something to be changed, you reject God's plan. If he is almighty and omniscient then he knows what he's doing. How can you make God change his mind???

I am trying to decide how to react. On one hand penis can not be messing things up while he is sleeping or whatever. On the other hand he is not getting anything practical done during that time.
