We got some snow, and it is COLD but it's not horrible, was able to do my weekly shopping without problems this morning after work.

BURIED. Good thing I don't have to go anywhere till Tuesday.... I may go out and shovel later. A few friends were unfortunate enough to be asked to drive places. Glad I was not. At least shoveling this much snow is GREAT exercise, haha.
If your friends have watched all the episodes of Ice Road Truckers, they should be fine ....

In my area it didn't turn out to be the monster that was predicted, but it still qualifies as a bad-tempered bully. One foot of snow (instead of 2-3 feet), followed by sleet that has turned my neighborhood into a giant skating rink. Our friend next door tried to get out in his 4-wheel truck and only made it a block before he had to very carefully slide back home. The temperature has dropped to below 0 degrees (F) and I'm assuming there's a wind-chill factor, but I'm not going outside to check for wind.

All of which would be of little concern in Northern states, but we're not a Northern state and our town government is not the most prosperous or well-versed in dealing with adverse weather conditions. Local streets haven't been plowed or salted, and the back alleys won't be touched at all, so who knows when I can get my car out of the garage. Not that I'm keen to leave the house, mind you.

A foot of snow, no ice. We will dig the car out later today as tomorrow will be expected that Mrs Quandry goes into the office. Today she is not going anywhere, although her coworkers with larger vehicles are driving caregivers to clients.

We got somewhere between 8-10 inches (so far...), but the wind drifts during the night created a wall of snow alongside the driver's side of my car well above my waist. It took some time this morning to shovel out enough of the white stuff to open the door. I still haven't completely cleared out my parking area, waiting for the plow to come by and hopefully do that shoveling for me.

And the snow is still falling. :hellokitty:

I think we got right around the 9 inches forecasted here. I shoveled my walkways yesterday and got a great core, cardio and arm workout! lol.

We aren't supposed to get anymore, but I suspect we won't see much of it melt for a while..... it's only 4 degrees right now and isn't forecasted to go above freezing till next week. At least I escape to Florida to visit parents tomorrow. It will be 60's there which is horrible for south Florida but will be a nice escape.

about 2 inches of hard snow, then a inch of ice pellets, and a inch of sleet. And all the idiots with their big trucks driving on it to pack it down to a nice ice rink. The city sent a sand truck around on the major 3 streets, so it is ice sandpaper :)
Eww. No, I got lucky that it's been light fluffy snow mostly throughout. Too cold for anything else.
