I can either rollback the update or just wait for someone to post an updated F4SE. I have too many new games in queue to take the time to fix what Bethesda destroyed. :(
Update! I was cruising around reading about FO4 when I saw that GOG is offering an un-updated client. Just turn off updates when you install and you're ready for a new game of "OG" FO4. I'm also keenly interested in the London Mod.

I'm installing it now and bringing over a few of my 200 mods from the original client. I've beaten the game several times already, but the OCD in me wants a usable game on my drive without the stupid, unnecessary Bethesda updates.

I played this through recently and I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.

It's a puzzle platformer, not too hard but also not boring.

Not sure how many of you are into factory building games, but Shapez2 'Early Access' released yesterday. Unlike many other early access titles, this feels pretty complete. (maybe minus steam-linked 'achievements', /shrug =).

It's definitely help keep my mind off waiting for Satisfactory 1.0 (Sept 10). =)

I have been playing Celeste, which has been on my "to play" list for a while.

It's a lot of fun. Crazy difficult in some places, but in a forgiving way. I am.not sure if the death counter is total or per level but it's been over 200.

It's also got such a beautifully done story that is basically a big fat metaphor for overcoming hardship and challenge.

I suck at it, I'm a failure of a trans-gamer. 😭 🏳‍⚧️

I mean, I think I am at like 1000+ deaths and right near the end. So dying is kind of part of the deal.

It's definitely got a lot of that "deceivingly difficulty to it.

I dove straight into 'difficult' being the Shapez(1) hack that I am...

I still haven't finished my 'Make Anything Machine' (MAM), in this version yet. =)

I've already 'finished' on 'Difficult'... which left "Insane" and "Hexagonal" modes (I went with the hexes for my 2nd play through.) It's both harder because there's 2 extra parts to every layer of a shape... but there's 3 fundamental shapes rather than 4 which makes it a little easier too. I'm definitely on the verge of the game invading my dreams now, I can feel it. =)

I expect to 'finish' the Hexagon variant and start on Insane difficulty before Satisfactory 1.0 drops on Sept 10th. New Teaser video out earlier today... Yuuuuuuummmy, faster belts, new machines, 'Quantum' stuff... Can't Wait!!!!

"You are statistically likely to appreciate the continued existence of puppies and/or kittens." /lol

There's so much yum in this update.

Even simple stuff that didn't make it into the Patch Notes, like the Codex does reverse part lookups now too. Used to only show the recipes that would make the part you searched for.... now it will show you all the unlocked recipes that can use that part too.

Doing that before meant tabbing out and popping over to the official wiki on Official Satisfactory Wiki (fandom's wiki comes up in search results first, don't use it, it's deprecated/out of date).

Yeah like...I don't really have any way of proving this mathematically but I could swear that having "Straight" mode for conveyor belts is probably making building 50% faster. I think I would still love this update even if that was the only new feature.

They also definitely did some things with fuel. Solid biomass seems to last much longer than it used to and wood especially makes so much of it. Also, belt-feeding the burners! I'm actually not in a super pressured hurry to cheese it all the way to coal because with only very occasional trips to forage I've got like 10 generators going and seemingly enough fuel to keep them burning for days.

Contractually-mandated fun fun fun!

Straight mode is a win for me since I normally grenade a ton of time into lining up 90 degree bends. Also, the snap mode in straight cleans up long off-platform conveyers that I used to struggle with. My obsessive self would always hate little shifts and bends and I'd go through so many unnecessary steps just to keep to a line. Ctrl-snap-straight gives me what I wanted for a long time.
