but oatmeal cream pies. Same thing happened to me last week. There it was, picked it up, ate it, picked up two more and put them in my pocketses to take home! They didn't make it home.

One also encountered moon pies last week but I grew up on the Gulf Coast and know better than to put that goopy plastic cardboard in my mouth.

Eww, Moon Pies! My one and only time eating one was when I was in Junior High. I remember it having a really weird taste and texture, and that it didn't sit well in my stomach at all.

I was craving a giant buttery chocolate and almond-paste croissant.

So that’s what I’m eating.
For dinner? If it's for dinner, that's badass. If it's just because, it's...well, it's being an adult.

For about a week or so I've been hankerin' for baked potatoes. I mean I've been jonesing for them. So after a doctor's appointment on Monday, I stopped by the supermarket and picked up potatoes.

I don't use enough potatoes in a decent amount of time to require a bag of them (there's just 1 of me!), so I went through the loose potatoes and got some choice picks. Sadly the store didn't have Russets sold singly, so I selected some yellow potatoes. Which are fine - I have a recipe (well, cooking instructions) for baking Yukon Golds, which are basically yellows. I bought 3 fairly big potatoes so I could bake 2, and use the last for a small side dish of braised potatoes later on. Or maybe just cubed and pan fried.

And then Tuesday night, Baked Potato Feast!

I wrapped the potatoes in tinfoil, no puncturing or prep other than washing them, and put them in the oven at 325 degrees for 90 minutes. Oh yes, 90 minutes of cook time. Afterwards, the potatoes' flesh was smooth and creamy, and the skins a bit crisp and very eatable.

I pounded the potatoes a few times on the counter to break open the skins and fluff the potatoes. Then I added salt, butter and sour cream. All I really needed. Well, I had them along with some ham and tomato slices. I'm not an animal.

Baked potato addiction handled. Until next time.

All last week I was craving a tomato sandwich and I bought some summer field tomatoes this weekend, so that’s what I’m having for dinner.

Toasted white sliced, salt, and onion powder, with lots of mayo.
