I’m curious. When someone who has just been convicted by a jury says this “This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt. It’s a rigged trial, a disgrace.” Calling the judge corrupt, do you think it may influence how he will be given time in prison, etc.? I mean, not only did he plead not guilty, but he’s insulting the system

Showing remorse can reduce a sentence in some cases. This is the opposite of remorse.

Unanimous verdict, no holdouts. And it came back quicker than i expected, too.
I really expected it to take longer. But the testimony they asked to be read back showed that they were homing in on credibility right away. There were 2 or 3 attorneys on the panel so that probably helped focus.
