Fox News host Sean Hannity leaves New York, moves to ‘free state of Florida’

Sean Hannity announced Tuesday that he’s left New York and is now a Florida man. The pundit cited ‘more freedom’ as one reason for taking his show south.

Longtime Fox News host Sean Hannity has left New York for Florida.

The 62-year-old pundit announced Tuesday he was “broadcasting from [his] new home, the great free state of Florida.”

Hannity, a Long Island native who started at Fox News in 1996, cited warm weather, the lack of a state income tax, “law and order,” and “more freedom” as reasons for his decampment.

While Hannity didn’t say exactly where his show is now based, he reportedly purchased a $5.3 million townhouse in Palm Beach — very close to former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate — in 2021.

Whoa so this happened last night:


This was an Alaska Airlines flight from Portland to Ontario that had just taken off and was climbing past 16,000 when suddenly an emergency exit door and its entire frame came cleanly off the side of the airplane, forcing an immediate turnaround and return to the airport. No passengers were seated next to the door on the flight and there were no injuries, but a few phones were sucked out when the incident happened.

The plane is a brand new 737 MAX. The particular emergency exit door that blew off was a deactivated one, meaning that it wasn't an "in-service" exit on the airplane. It is behind the wing, and is intended to be used on jets with a seating configuration of over a certain amount - like above 200, I think - but Alaska Airlines has a less-dense seat configuration on its 737s, so it just uses the front, rear, and over-wing exits and this particular exit on each side is just covered over by an interior panel in the cabin so that it can't be accessed.

On the evening of January 1st, the Bayside open-air mall in Miami was swarmed by a massive crowd of teens who damaged property and set off fireworks on the promenade, leading some witnesses who didn't know what was going on to report gunshots. This sparked fears of a mass shooter that prompted a major police response with dozens of police cars blocking the entire area surrounding the mall, as you tend to see with those kinds of events. However the scene was brought under control and the kids were dispersed, and a handful were arrested after a small group was seen assaulting a bystander as they were leaving. According to one of the shopowners interviewed for the local news, this is becoming a yearly thing.

But I'm not posting this because of that, I'm posting this because in the days since, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit have become convinced that the story of the riot is faked and police had actually converged to fight a ten-foot-tall alien monster.

The NTSB said the lost door plug was found Sunday near Portland, Oregon, by a school teacher — for now, known only as Bob — who discovered it in his backyard and sent two photos to the safety board.
