My suspicions are not rooted in any sort of coherent conspiracy theory, but simply in what I consider a fundamental truth: If a member of the Trump administration said it, it is bullshit.
The bullshit was absolutely there: in trying to hide the positive results for Hope Hicks. The WH didn't voluntarily release that news, they were forced to do so by a leak to Bloomberg News. And if it had been possible to cover up Trump's positive status, they would have done so. More bullshit in fuzzing up the timeline to cover that a contagious Trump was walking around days after the WH knew he was positive.

And now the latest round of bullshit is Trump's predictable attempt to downplay the illness that he does have, exacerbated by the additional craziness brought on my mind-altering drugs. He's trying to play the Superman card now, which will ultimately work against his recovery.

So what's the theory on the other Covid-19 cases in the White House/Rose Garden event cluster? Are they part of the conspiracy?
Dammit. I've been Innulaed! :shakefist:

Yeah, I got nothin'.

I guess this satisfies the bullshit requirement.

Having had some whopping steroid doses a couple of times for huge allergy attacks, I can tell you the reports of euphoria are not exaggerated -- and I was on plain ol' prednisone, not "the good stuff."

Just the opposite. Great Britain had treaties with the tribes in the Ohio Valley and recognized their territory. The French and Indian War had started over trade conflicts with Canadian and British among the Miami people. The Ohio Valley tribes participated on both sides of the conflict and their rights were recognized in the peace treaty.

The colonists were slipping past the British forts meant to protect the Native American lands and clearing the forests for farmland. They were expelled if they were caught.

The issue of taxes arose because the Colonies were not contributing to the debt payments for the French and Indian War and the cost of defense of North America (which was being used to keep the Colonists away from the Ohio Valley as well as the Catholic population of Florida and Canada, both annexed by Britain after the war). Colonial governments made voluntary payments that were well below what was needed. So Britian used direct taxation (the Intolerable Acts and the Stamp Act) in the colonies along with merchantilist polices to try to raise funds. The more heavy-handed they became, the more rebellious the colonies were.

Even after the American Revolution, and in direct violation of the treaty ending the war, British troops remained in the Ohio Valley until the end of the War of 1812.
Quick reply before finishing catching up - I knew about the issues arising with the Cherokee, because the Cherokee Museum in Cherokee NC has a whole section on it. But I'm glad my assessment that it wasn't -just- the Cherokee who were affected was correct.

Please let him decide to do more rallies in person this week and get close to his maskless cult. Extra points if they had planned to vote in person to own the libs as corpses can not vote.

I am torn which is worse, the orange idiot or the people who voted for him.

No, Trump did not piledrive the virus into submission with his superior strength

To everyone grieving a covid-19 loss — to everyone who clung to an iPad to watch an intubated father or grandfather struggling for a final breath, ending a good life as bravely as one can in the face of such loneliness and pain — to every person who loved one of the more than 200,000 Americans who have died so far in seven months of pandemic, I hope you took some comfort in President Trump’s Monday message to his citizens in conjunction with his own diagnosis, which was, essentially: Avoiding the virus is for suckers.

“Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life,” wrote the man who had been airlifted to a hospital to receive experimental drugs from the country’s best doctors at taxpayer expense. “We have developed, under the Trump administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”
The reaction from some public servants in the Republican Party fixated, predictably, on the president’s transcendent strength and power.

“President Trump won’t have to recover from COVID. COVID will have to recover from President Trump,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) wrote in the tweet equivalent of a Chuck Norris GIF.
“COVID stood NO chance against @realDonaldTrump!” tweeted Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.). She accompanied the message with a WrestleMania GIF in which Trump attacks a man whose head had been replaced by a cartoon coronavirus. After punching the virus-head to the ground, he walks away grinning.

Oh hey, Matt Gaetz again, better see what kind of spillover Matt Gertz is getting.

Well, not spillover but lol

Just like that time I stubbed my toe and was carried on a golden litter bed by men in togas, and fed iced grapes while three world class pedicurists debated emergency use of gel or acrylic to repair my pedicure.

Trump's doctor Sean Conley is an Osteopath, not an MD. I didn't know that. He also approved of his use of hydroxychloquine.

I am just loooviiiing this! This is some form of justice!

The idea that Trump is willingly going to a doctor quackster who causes him physical pain in order to get healed, where there is no scientific evidence that those methods even work! On top of it the doc gets even paid for this type of torture treatment! Brillant, absolutely brillant!

Osteo is weird, you actually need to be effectively an MD to be a full on doctor of osteopathy. Apparently a lot of people never buy into the weird bone bending stuff and go the osteo route because it's easier or cheaper.

And...now I'm back to thinking it was a stunt. An obese man, older person like himself who lives on junk food gets Covid and it's poof, gone in a weekend?
It's not gone. He only wants us to think it's gone. They have converted part of the upstairs White House into a medical clinic, so they can keep treating him there. Too many people around the Trumps have tested positive now for it to be fake. For example Kayleigh McEnany (press secretary) and two of her assistants. White House staffers and secret service are leaking to the press how upset they are about being put at risk.

After he's gone you will have to ask the Canadians to burn down the White House a second time... for desinfecting this time.
Fortunately we won't have to do that. The virus only survives about 12 hours on surfaces, and far-UV light or alcohol will kill it immediately. Send everyone home for a week, hazmat crews disinfect everything, then followup tests to make sure its gone.

Also, we *can't* legally burn it down. The White House is technically a National Park and National Historic Site.
