So i read this all, and in my not so humble opinion, everyone lost. Nobody acted well.

Kimba was rude. Shouldn't have been. I wouldn't say abusive, but rude, definitely.

But, if you are in the position of running a service business, handling a moron or two comes with the occupation and if it makes your blood boil, then maybe find a different way to spend your days?

Kicking someone out within a day without a refund, because they didn't fully understand and follow your covenant, is vindictive and not a good business practice.
It's not like they crashed the sim or rezzed giant penises everywhere. Misunderstandings about covenants happen, words can be interpreted differently, people don't speak english as their native language, etc etc.
It would have been plenty sufficient to tell them they were no longer welcome to rent there, give them a moment to pick up any no-copy items and give a partial refund, with a deduction for the hassle and time spent.


I don't agree with Kimbas actions, but would i rent from a landlord that bans, returns all items in a lump, and doesn't refund, just because someone said one rude thing?

Think of it from the perspective of the fellow tenants on the sim who complained to the estate manager about the former name.
If they logged in the next day and found their neighbour had renamed their parcel 'Fuck Off & Die', a presumed response to their complaint, how would that look?

Exactly. This really was more about the easiest way to nip a budding tenant-dispute in the bud, to chop-off the one renting the smaller parcel.

Wow, that's real insightful. Based on the ugliness of your avatar displayed on this thread, I think it is fair to doubt that you know your donkey from a hole in the ground. My partner and I had rented a full-sim from WRE for over a year without incident, and this is why I had rented from them this time. I had been there for 6-weeks without incident when this happened, and the land had been named this way since day-one.

The unstated irony of this situation, is that I had liked them. I had sent Zel a thank-you note for giving me some grace-time when I forgot to pay the rent one week, and I had taken a potential-customer to their rental-sim to look for a parcel, when he had come around the land asking questions.

What struck me, after shopping for a new parcel to rent, was that no other landlord had policies about eviction without refund, or abusing staff-members. This indicates to me that WRE needs such policies because this occurs frequently between them and their customers, because WRE has such a crappy customer-service attitude, and WRE makes up new rules as they go along. And I will point out again, that the covenant itself does not address how one names one's land, nor that multi-purpose items like a dance-pole may be placed on the land.

*You can have up to 3 non breedable pets max. Multiple renters on a parcel does not change this limit.

*Banlines are allowed on all parcel sizes. If you do not like seeing your neighbors banlines, you can disable Banlines in your viewer and you will no longer see them.

*Do not build directly on the parcel lines.

*No buildings or floating objects in the sky below 600 meters. You may use the sky 600 meters or higher. Respect your neighbors privacy and do not build directly next to them in the sky. Objects on your land or in the sky must remain with in your property lines.

*No hanging prims or prims crossing over into other parcels. Prims hanging or crossing over your land lines into other parcels will be returned without warning.

*No buildings or structures that exceed 55 meters in height on the ground unless approved by a WRE manager.

*No Sky boxes on the ground. Sky boxes are meant for the sky, please keep them there.

*WRE reserves the right to consolidate any parceled region if needed. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, but no refunds will be given.

*Pay your tier BEFORE you go into arrears or you will risk the loss of your land. If you need an extension, contact management BEFORE you go into arrears not after.

*Tier is non refundable in Lindens but can be used as credit to move to other land owned by WRE (Both lands must be owned by WRE and not from a reseller or another company. Both rental boxes must have the same primary renter listed, sub tenants listed do not count).
