World renowned primatologist Jane Goodall died at age 91 in California

World renowned British primatologist Jane Goodall died at age 91 today. She became famous in the 60s when she discovered that chimpanzees are using tools, until then science thought that only humanity is using tools and no animals.

She was on a speaking tour in California.

I met her when I was in my early 20's, she was absolutely amazing and kind and interesting. I went to one of her lectures. Seeing her as a woman, doing what she was doing was an inspiration to me. I am sad to see that she died but also gratified to see that she lived a very full, long life and gave much to this world.
