Edited to qualify that I don't generally listen to Federale, but am a Jenny Don't fan, and this is a really good, well performed, song.

I learned the Second (hopefully soon First!) Gentleman Doug Emhoff is a fan of R.E.M., and saw then in concert for their Reckoning tour. Which was in 1984, when I would have been a bit too young to know about them. But I'm a fan now.

Doug picked So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry) as his favorite song off that album. Which is a good choice but mine is a less depressing and far more peppier tune:

No one likes Document. (I'm kidding!!!)

I guess you'd say my first R.E.M. album was their first, as I had gifted to me a big collection of cassettes from my dad in 1994 and among them was Murmur. I still consider Pilgrimage my favorite R.E.M. song, period.

Muddy Waters plays his classic song Baby Please Don't Go in a small Chicago nightclub. As I see it, the Rolling Stones take a table to see a music legend dear to their hearts. Then hesitantly at Muddy's request, Mick Jagger, Keith Richard and Ron Wood join him. I would love to have been in the audience that night. With or without the Rolling Stones, Muddy was the star.
