Wendy (Marcy Hermit) hair from Alien: Earth

I watched the first season of Alien: Earth and really liked it (I was a bit worn down by it around episode 6, but episode 8 totally redeemed things).

I also fell in love with Sydney Chandler's look as Wendy, especially her hair style. The austere bangs. That short but fluffy cut covering her ears. I'm drawn to it so much I want to recreate her look in Second Life (I'm already working on a gesture with her speaking the Alien clicking language...). But I'm not having much luck finding a hair that comes close to Wendy's.

I've had some recommendations, such as a few from Tram.

Her "H0223" is pretty close


The flyaway strands are a bit more than I want, but really the problem is it's an un-moddable rigged mesh, and doesn't provide any resizing script. (What is it with Asian SL designers and tiny heads?) So that one's out.

Andy suggestions or breadcrumbs?

Thanks... I only got through the first episode and it was a bit too bleak for me. I don't really trust Ridley Scott to pull things together, and some of his "stupid people who should know better, doing stupid things with disastrous results" is a little much of an existential threat for me to feel enjoyable schadenfreude watching in my entertainment.

But if it gets positive feedback from you... I may give it a second chance. =)

Scott is not involved with this production. The creator of Alien: Earth is Noah Hawley, who made Fargo (the acclaimed TV show), and what I thought was the weirdest and best Marvel production, Legion.

I can’t help you with the original enquire, but I just want to say I love that look. Every now and then, I suddenly get the urge and cut *snip* *snip* for short bangs like that. I absolutely love it - for one day - then my mini cowlick takes over and ruins everything. Sigh.

I thought this is why Artemis gave us Second Life. So we can do things like this but not have to pay for the failures.

I thought Tram Hair was resizable, so I went to the store to double check that H0223 demo out. It is, but the resize option is in the HUD, there's a "stretch" button on the HUD.

I've ran into that problem with Tram Hair myself, always have to resize it up. Also the lack of memorable names for hair. The lettered and numbered hair thing always makes me wince. "Wings" does it too. Its worse when 2 hairs have the same number but different letters. "Was it ER1008 or ES1008"

Thanks, Crono. It's a pretty good match. It's also weighty in the "avatar complexity" area, so I'm going to keep looking and just hold onto this one if I can't find anything else.

Always glad to serve the cause of fashion. I just remembered another hair that might work! Really just this minute, Stealthic Otome. It's a little less "austere" and little more "cute" though.
