VVO is back!

Yes, we need an Emergency Meetup Location. Somewhere everyone knows to go if the site goes down, if nothing else to exchange contact info. If VVO had stayed down much longer, I was thinking of creating a Reddit, but no one would have known it existed, so that was a problem.

Ironically, it never occurred to me to go to the LL/SL forums until the Cristiano thread showed up on Google. Oooh yeah, that place!

We have the Discord server. That actually proved quite valuable during the forum outage.

A lot of people were discussing it on the Official Forums and quite a few of us are on Mastodon now.

I didn't even think to check Mastodon! Of course, I don't know any of you there, either! When the forum disappeared, I took to Twitter and pestered Free, as she was one of the few VVO people I knew there. Then I remembered the Discord server.

I've never been able to get Discord to work. I'd get in, then lose access to the account, then not be able to create a new account "because you already have one".

I don't know but people have been saying he has been. There hasn't been a "big post" about it for everyone to see so I'm fine with not knowing myself.

Wow, just at the point (or almost beyond the point) that I had resigned myself to VVO being gone forever! Mightily relieved to see it back. Discord is ok, but it isn't the same.

Also, I hope this means that Cris is better.
