Supposedly season 2 has already begun filming in the UK so there will at least be a second season. It's already been revealed that the next and last episode of season 1 will show who Sauron is. I think it'll be someone we least expect.
So, Ringo Starr or Rowan Atkinson...

I thought they already had plans for 5 seasons.

Also, it feels like Rings of Power is going to pull a Halo, and not actually have any rings in it.

(Halo didn't even really have a Halo ring in it at all)

They have to make the Rings of Power first. Maybe Mithral is needed to make them.

I have a new theory on Halbrand: He becomes one of the Nazgul. I think that is more likely than being Sauron.

Yeah, Indon't think he is Sauron. I am thinking the Witch King maybe. He will be the first of the 9 kings Sauron corrupts.

I also saw an interesting idea that he will be the Ghost King that Aragorn recruited in RotK. Basically later he will turn his back on Elindil in the end and become cursed.

I feel like its more likely maybe the kid is Sauron or something.

Maybe The Stranger, but that feels more like to be Gandalf, Sarumon or maybe even Radagast.

So it's not one of the background Harfoots? (Waiting to watch the episode on Saturday. NO SPOILERS!)

Which reveal? The first one or the second one? One of the people in white said that he's not Sauron but the other one so that makes me think that the Stranger is likely to be Gandalf. If so I think this show shows why Gandalf likes Hobbits. Nori could possibly be an ancestor of Bilbo and Frodo.

I find myself generally annoyed by the elves. Half their dialogue sounds like middle school mood poetry. I'll be happy for the rest of my life if I never see a collection of people standing starkly upright, staring blankly forward, on a boat.

That said, it's a bit of acquired taste. The episodes are slightly improving as each goes by. The dialogue still tends to sound like they're trying a bit too hard to sound 'wise'. Having never read any of the books, my only reference is the Jackson movies, it's at least interesting.

The Sauron reveal made me go... "waaaaiiit..is..whatdafuq? Oh no!", I was tricked because I expected the Dark Lord to be hanging out in Eregion disguised as an elf to get ready to do his Annatar thing with Celebrimbor. But, since Amazon does not have access to Unfinished Tales, I forgot they can't really use Annatar. It made sense to me that Gil-Galad would be alarmed by Celebrimbors attitude and the things he said, he knows what trouble Feanor's (Celebrimbors grandfather) work caused. And the scene where (redacted) figures out who (redacted) is, was great as was their reactions in the confrontation and trying to stab Sauron. Not that it would work, Sauron's a Maia, as is the Stranger. I knew what the gems were going to end up in the moment I saw them, red, blue, white/clear. Narya, Nenya, Vilya...the Three. Vilya goes to Gil-Galad...for now, Narya goes to Cirdan (who we haven't seen yet)...for now, and Nenya goes to Galadriel.

The reveal of the Stranger as an Istari did not take me by surprise. Since there are only 5 of them, and two of them are in Unfinished tales and thusly their names can't be used, that leaves Gandalf, Saruman and Radegast. Considering the things he said in the final episode and the fact that he's hanging with Hobbits, I'm going to bet he's the future Gandalf. He "could" be nature loving Radegast, but is unlikely to be Saruman who like Sauron was a Maia of Aule and had little interest in growing things and the small things of the world.

It was interesting and a bit strange to hear the famous poem about the rings put into song at the end...sung by Fiona Apple no less.

Alright, I am caught up. I will say "X is Y" doesn't help, because only one person has an "X" name.

PS, Replace X with another letter.

Also I was kimd of surprised Isildor didn't pop up again. I mean, of all the random mystery "spoilers", Isildor not actually being dead feels like a complete given with his known future that is even in the movies. I hear Amazon is changing things, but I doubt they would change that.

After having seen the last episode of Season 1....
I'm even more disappointed with the casting of Halbrand than I was before. He's one of the weakest actors in the main cast, and a distressing light-weight for the role of iconic villain of Tolkien's sagas.

I find the Harfoots plot far more fun and well told, with Durin/Elrond a strong 2nd favorite. Main plot... meh.

ETA: I looked up the actor -- Charles Vickers -- who plays Halbrand/Sauron and yeah, he started acting in 2018 and has only a few acting credits to his name. Sadly, it shows.
