Haven't changed much... updated my [Signature] Gianni mesh bod, dabbled with my usual clothing textures a little.

It's weird seeing my avatar's fingers actually -moving- (thanks to bento? I'm so behind, I don't know what's what.)

I'm still using a non-mesh head because I'm fond of the skin I've been using for it. Terribly outdated hair badly recolored by me from Alli&Ali Designs. (goatee/ears/eyes are my own. The eye-whites wash to inky black and back periodically just to be creepy)

I really need to find better hair, and maybe a bento-compatible mesh-head. Hrm. Any recommendations? =D

If you get a Bakes-On-Mesh ready head, and most are or have relays for it, you can use the system skin you're currently using, Jopsy. :)

Easiest for me to use my flickr or my late lamented un-updated blog, which is basically a history of my avatar's evolution. I'm too lazy and don't have the time to do a proper collage.

This was within my first week between July 19th when I first joined SL and July 26th, when I got the shape that my current shape is derived from..
Gurl6 Abundance hair, Pearls from Raven's Creations, Lynnix Muse prim eyelashes, Marissa wrap dress from Dazzle.

Taken at the Blue Note Jazz club on July 31st of 2006, I think. It can be no earlier than July 30'th because that's when I got that skin. One of the first pictures where I thought my avatar looked beautiful. ETD hair, Adam n Eve Celebrity Moonbeam skin, Sylfie shoes. IIRC the dress is from Luxe:

By August of 2006, I pretty have my signature look down as seen here:

2007 CC:
ETD Carolyn hair in Crimson
TaP Vivant Just lips 2 skin
Suave Blouse from Winter Moon (Arbel Vogel)
Miriel Enfield eyes

2008 CC, yes, I still look pretty much the same:
Hearts Desire cocktail dress from ICING
Classic pumps from Shiny Things
ETD Sofia hair in Mahogany

Here's 2009 me:

2010, yep still a redhead, still very classic:

2011 CC is still the same ol CC:

I started wearing mesh in 2012, I still see people wearing this dress now and then. It being the Maitreya Nolita, one of the first great mesh dresses, this was before mesh bodies.

april_18_2012_001 by cronocloudcreeggan, on Flickr

In 2013 I started wearing somewhat less vintage and neo-vintage and more modern stuff at the suggestion of a friend. This is Coldlogic, D!va hair I think, skin was Belleza by this time.

Headshot from June of 2014, classic.

I'd jumped to the Lara body in 2015, my first mesh body was actually Belleza, but Belleza did not do body appliers for their own mesh body for the Shyla/Betty skin lines which used different skin shades than the other Belleza skins. IMHO the Shyla/Betty's better suited a redhead. I had a devil of a time finding skins for the Lara that really suited me. Used mostly League for a while:

I picked up my first mesh head later that year at the urging of an acquaintance saying my non-mesh head self was looking dated and that if I wanted to keep up with the Joneses appearance wise I needed to go mesh head. It was one of my worst purchases ever, the Lelutka Karin did not suit me, and it looked "strange" from the side. And for some reason it looked off with red hair! So I stopped wearing it.

sep_02_2015_006 by cronocloudcreeggan, on Flickr

In July of 2016 I was still not wearing a mesh head, this was taken at my 2016 rezday party:
Skin is Pink Fuel Harley, Hair is Truth Harmony, IKON Charm eyes in Ice, Gown is the new ISON Light Moon, Shoes are the EMPIRE Sedum pumps, Tiara is the Fleur tiara in white diamonds from Earthstones, and the necklace and earrings are the Mata Hari Mesmer from Maxi Gossamer. (Don't worry, I was a redhead at the earlier timeslot for the party.)

But in August of 2016 I picked up my first Catwa head, which suited me better, the Tumble (a non-bento head because bento wasn't a thing yet)
and the Deetalez Evelyn appliers to go with it. Dress is from Meli imako called the Vintage formal dress, though it isn't formal by my standards. Shoes are Adeline's from Baby Moneky, hair is Rhythm from Elikatira, eyes from IKON

In May of 2017 I picked up my Catwa Kathy bento head. So Yay, I looked like "me" again!
Some pictures with my new bento Catwa Kathy head an LBD from Legendaire, Jewelry from Yummy, Skin from Lumae, hair from Wasabi Pills, shoes from KC

Pretty much been the same since then, though as you know I've played around with various skin shades and haircolors. CC with a tan in 2018
Maven Dress from Asteria, Truth Tinsley hair, KC Gabriella sandals, IKON Triumph eyes in Moor, Lumae Ruby skin in T5 Dolce, Royale makeup from Alaska Metropolitan.

2019 at a LL meet&greet where I did a fangirl selfie with Berry and Xiola. I first met Berry in-world in 2010.
I'm wearing the Layla dress from Just Because, with the Iris heels from Just because, Truth Tinsley hair, Cae Moderne jewelry, Karan clutch from Hilly Halan, Lumae Ruby skin in T4 Fawn with Alaskametro On Fleek makeup. IKON Sovereign eyes in Dew.

This is from last month at Marianne McCann's rezday party
It's from Valentina E, of course, the Paris vintage dress. Paired with Stealthic Envy hair, Erratic stockings and pumps, Maxi Gossamer jewelry. Skin is LUmae Ruby in T4 Fawn with Alaskametro makeup. IKON Sovereign eyes in Moor.

This first one shows my evolution (not counting random furry avatars) from 2006 to 2018.

Didn't really change much at all during that time, except for quality upgrades, though I started diversifying into a variety of fantasy costumes when I started going to Chiaroscuro in late 2017.

About a year ago, I figured out that my choices for these costumes could be greatly increased by adding a female body to my collection, so I bought Maitreya and figured out the V-tech chest, and for a slim elven shape it worked well. Though I originally intended to use it only on occasion, its become a permanent change. And then, Greville (the owner of Chiaroscuro) and I somehow became a couple, and one day he asked me if I had ever done drag. I said no, but the idea intrigued me, so I gave it a try and to my surprise I actually loved it.

I think of my SL self now as fluid; gender-fluid, species-fluid, appearance-fluid. Over the past few months I've transitioned from "pretty-guy-but-still-a-guy" to "okay-I-am-basically-a-girl-now".

From this (June 2019)...

...to this (February 2020)...

I swore I would always have a flat chest, no boobs. But even that is starting to gradually change. It's very much like a RL male-to-female transition; occasional cross-dressing to start with, then taking the step of going "full-time", and now, deliberately changing my body as well as my clothes to become more feminine. (Maybe my avatar went on hormones without telling me!) Who knows where this road will lead; maybe one day I'll buy a Belleza Freya body and relegate my Aeros to a dusty box in my inventory, never again to see the light of day...

This transition doesn't change my self-identity though. I'm still a guy on the inside, no matter how feminine I look.

Am i the only person on VVO with an Identity crisis? My flickr is my history of avatars. I've lived so many lives...

First picture of my Avie circa 2006.

it's hard to see but i was a sucker for asian Culture and looks.. wearing Superman bling cause i didn't know any better... when i wasn't at the club i was in anahern sandbox watching furries build in in amazement. I was just a hardcore gamer/college kid who got sucked into Ashe chang articles and making virtual money. nothing made sense about sl.. no levels, no objectives. As i was about to quit i was so desperate to make it work gave into the idea of doing something outside the box... i remember meeting a guy who admitted playing a female avie. i thought it was silly at the time... but i started thinking about it and i was like "why not walk a mile in someone elses shoes..." so i went and bought some. I didn't realize the road i just set out on...

So i made my first female... 2007

i spent sometime putting her together going to freebie places.. At this point Second life became fun for me trying to come up with new looks for my avie so i kept going... How about a vampire? 50s wife? a Neko! possibilities soon be came endless.

2008

i realized i left my guy side behind so i brought him with me...

But i became too addicted to being female...it wasn't enough for looks... i got to act the part too! my world just be came me just trying to catch up.

i soon self taught myself photoshop.. i started changing so frequently... id be in a different avie every week! Yet... i haven't been able to pick a gender...

cira 2009-2010

I haven't been able to find my Brakes to stop this roller coaster... since you can become who ever you want at a drop of the hat.... i just kept going..

2013

2017

2018

I've slowed down but haven't been able to stop. I could share many more pictures..i'm working on my 2020 guy side as we speak(will update this thread eventually)... then the cycle will start over again... Heres my current me... atleast one of the many forms...I Dont know who i am anymore... But i'm quite happy.

2020

I grok that, it's Multiple Body Disorder. I always return to a weasel of some kind, but I've got over 300 avatars of so many species I have to organize them taxonomically.

What I'd really like is a synchronized pack of Tine, scripted to work together, but that's more than Second Life can really support. They're an alien group mind that look something like this.

Maybe I can get someone to do a TWI fox skin that looks like that. Then I can be a swarm of alien foxes.

This is me in my first week, in 2008.

And this is how I look now:

I've kept the same overall look throughout; ginger hair (usually shoulder-length when I'm not in formal-wear), facial hair to some degree, short and stocky build. My current skin is an old one that I've started wearing again now that I've switched over to BoM, I still like it better than anything else I've found. Being a ginger guy in SL is hard.
