Also, things didn't go so well for the last dude known to be hiding out in a bunker...

And yes, I did just Godwin's Law myself, but fuck it. I'm in a mood.

pff! We should be so lucky...
Sadly, I doubt we are.

In the "This is why we can't have nice things" department...
I've been hearing gunshots. Could be fireworks, but usually the fireworks have a POP POP FIZZZZZZZZZZZ sound and this is just POP POP.
The mall three miles from me had some looting and gunshots were fired. The shopping area (Pacific Commons, a collection of stores and strip malls) has been shut down, as has the Fremont HUB, the Walmart near me, and now this... And I live in a sleepy blue collar burb.

[Sredni Eel]

A friend on Pokemon Go discord has a police scanner. There's some heavy stuff going on.
Not least of which is a looting of a gun shop in Hayward.

Yeah, man, use the other thread. So many people have the OP on ignore this thread won't get seen as much.

Though I can think of a dude caught in a bunker rather more recently than that

Saddam Hussein captured in hole caught on camera 15 years ago

On December 13, 2003, one of history's most intense manhunts came to an end when Iraq's Saddam Hussein was found hiding in a bunker

Is that a lolcop?

[Dakota Tebaldi]

Not sure - I'm keen to doubt it since he's wearing the same helmet as some of the other cops behind him.

[Nostrildamus]

There were a total of 10 police shootings of unarmed blacks in 2019. Before you start saying there is some kind of genocide going on against blacks please consider that the police killed 371 whites in 2019 compared to 236 blacks. All of these they had a weapon. Unfortunately blacks commit a disproportionate amount of crime. I know the police are out of control and think its time for a change but have to keep it in perspective.

[Jopsy Pendragon]

Funny... you don't hear so much about unarmed and innocent whites being gunned down by cops in their bed or their car.

It just seems to be disproportionately black people. Try to keep that in your perspective.

Our avatars are lolcats. I don’t see a problem.

That only works when *we* post.

I’m sure there’s a mod somewhere that will change all forum avatars to lolcats. If not, coding challenge I suppose.
