I just got one 2 weeks ago for my alt. bought the wrong one, so ended up having to go get a lara as time was limited to login. ugh. should of bought the standard body for her.

The store has/had ban lines up a couple of hours ago (an hour ago?), but you can go to the edge and still buy stuff. That option probably will go away shortly (if it hasn't already).

So, unless things changed in the last hour or two, you can still buy.

ETA: Just checked. The option to sit at the ban line and buy stuff is still active. As of 2023.01.01 2:18:30 SL time (or 5:18 ET).

Slink's core business were hand and feet attachments for the system avatar. With mesh bodies becoming the new standard, which included this stuff out of the box their core business model vanished.

So no wonder they are closing now, because they have failed to diversify their product line early enough.

Slink had clothing, heads, hair, both male & female bodies, and relatively recently released a brand new body that included using Evox into it (no idea how, I just saw that on the product ad board).

Plus hands/feet.

From the message, sounds like she's in pretty rough shape now, both physically and emotionally

I hope she reopens eventually, but keep in mind she had a pretty decent stable of creators working for her. They're still in world, keeping busy.

Yeah, I am kind of surprised she didn't try to pass it off to someone to keep running. Maybe busisness just wasn't working out. Plus even if say, it went MPmonky, there would be the need to provide support

or some one to hold onto her backend and keep it running for her, so redeliveries can be made to those of us that own them. no new sales, she could do on it, but just the re deliveries.

Since you can't just hand over your SL identity/permissions to someone else (even assuming you would choose to do that), transferring products and property to another person would be complicated and a lot of work. Sounds like she just wanted out.

I am not sure it was. We of course, don't jnow the details, but its possible that it wasn't making money or waasn't making enough money, for the effort. Plus people get tired of working on the same thing like that I think after a while.

But also, it always felt to me like it was kind of lagging behind a bit. I had an alt (main main alt) with a slink body up until recently before just swapping to Maitreya. It always felt like clothes did not include Slink options 75% of the time.

I wonder if this is why Blueberry stopped making stuff for slink, or if the dwindling amount of slink support is part of why she closed as well.

I'm very sad because I just got the cinnamon and chai bodies and well, not much for clothes and its too late to go and pick up more from her store.
So, its either swap bodies or just learn to make clothes.
