Well, I figured that was an early Super Sentai show (with the 5 colored band of heroes), but I'm not enough of a weeaboo to know which one. Turns out it was the first, Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. Himitsu Sentai Gorenger - Wikipedia

The only tokusatsu show I know anything of is the Saban's Power Rangers and only the first season or so of that.

Stay away from Saban's Masked Rider as it is a fairly horrid version of Kamen Rider Black and Kamen Rider Black RX. Also VR Troopers was a steaming pile of shit. So was "Beetleborgs"
