Hurricane Delta struck the Louisiana coast in early October of 2020. I received those texts from the state office of emergency preparedness yesterday and today. They're duplicates of texts I had already gotten back in 2020.
Now there's a few different reasons anyone might give for why this could have happened, but after a cursory investigation I think it's obvious what is actually going on here.

Clearly, your reckless experiments have destabilized space and time as we know them, and events from different time periods are starting to intrude upon and bleed into each other. The whole world and possibly the universe are in peril now because of you, and now you and I are probably going to have to go on some dangerous techno-sci-fi adventure quest in order to fix what you did, restore the timeline, and save everyone.
