Isn't there like, a source one could track the leak to, like a pipe or something? Put on some boots and do a bit of wading to find out maybe?

At one stage the local council believed it could have been pineapple juice, but tests determined that was not the case.

So when they did their test, they asked "is it pineapple juice?" and got back "no."
